The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially announced the schedule for the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 Playoffs, shifting the focus to new venues and updated match timings after an electrifying league stage.

New Venues & Key Dates

• Qualifier 1: The top two teams will clash on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at the New PCA Stadium, New Chandigarh.
• Eliminator: The third and fourth-ranked teams face off on Friday, May 30, 2025 at the New PCA Stadium, New Chandigarh.
• Qualifier 2: Hosted at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, this match between the loser of Qualifier 1 and the winner of the Eliminator will take place on Sunday, June 1, 2025.
• IPL 2025 Final: The grand finale will be held in Ahmedabad at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, where the two best teams will compete for the TATA IPL trophy.

Playoff Changes and Weather Considerations

Initially, Hyderabad and Kolkata were set to host the playoffs, but due to weather concerns and strategic planning by the IPL Governing Council, the crucial matches have been reassigned to New Chandigarh and Ahmedabad. This decision ensures optimal playing conditions and an exceptional experience for both players and fans.

Additional Updates: Match Relocations and Playing Conditions

Owing to unfavorable weather in Bengaluru, TATA IPL Match No. 65 between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will now be played at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.

Furthermore, starting May 20, all remaining league-stage matches and playoff games have been allocated an additional one hour in playing conditions to accommodate any potential weather disruptions.
