The 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) will resume on May 17 after being temporarily suspended due to cross-border tensions between India and Pakistan. The remainder of the tournament will feature 17 matches and will be held at six venues: Bengaluru, Jaipur, Delhi, Lucknow, Mumbai, and Ahmedabad. The IPL 2025 playoffs schedule includes Qualifier 1 on May 29, the Eliminator on May 30, Qualifier 2 on June 1, and the final on June 3.

The league stage will feature 13 matches and will see two double-headers, both on Sundays. Notably, the Punjab Kings vs Delhi Capitals clash, which was previously called off, will now be played on May 24 in Jaipur. Playoffs venues will be announced soon.

Due to venue changes, teams like Punjab Kings (PBKS), Chennai Super Kings (CSK), and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will play their remaining matches on neutral grounds. PBKS remain in playoff contention, sitting third on the points table before the suspension.

The BCCI confirmed the new schedule after consultations with government and security agencies. However, the extended IPL season now overlaps with the England vs West Indies ODI series, potentially affecting the availability of several key overseas players.
