After a significant absence due to a foot injury, Rishabh Pant is back to lead the India A team in two vital four-day matches against South Africa A. This marks his return to competitive cricket as he prepares for the upcoming Test series against South Africa starting on November 14.
Pant, who has been out since July 2023, missed several important matches, including the home Test series against West Indies and the white-ball tour of Australia.
The first match kicks off on October 30 at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Mumbai, followed by the second on November 6. The squad primarily comprises several players accustomed to the Test format, ensuring a strong competitive edge as they gear up for the challenge.
